Or in this case handbag. I’ve always been a purse girl. I remember a red patent leather purse when I was very small and in elementary school getting a blue corduroy purse with flowers embroidered on the flap and matching wallet, macramé bags, clutches and the nylon LeSac. Yes, my love of bags goes way back.
As I’ve “matured” I’ve gotten a bit picky about my handbags. I like bags that are:
- wider than they are tall
- have multiple pockets for organization
- a structured body
- a shoulder strap that’s not so long I can’t carry it in my hand
- a light colored interior to find items easier
Then I saw this…

The only requirement it has is the strap. It’s not an option because it doesn’t have all the features I think I need for it to be functional. But it’s so cute and pink! Pink is my favorite color. It is cute! Then it went on sale. I asked Honey if I could get it for my birthday a bit early, since he strongly dislikes shopping, he said yes and I ordered it.
Even though it doesn’t have any of the features I thought I needed for it to be functional for me, I took a chance on this cutie and I love it. It has enough room for everything I carry daily and the strap/handle combination work for should and hand held. I stepped out of my box and found something new that works well and I enjoy using.
I wonder how many other things I do because that’s the way I’ve always done it or that’s just who I am? What would happen if I stepped out of the “who I am” box to see what’s in the “who could I be” box?
Starting this blog is stepping out of my comfort box to explore what might be, learn something new, make some new friends and maybe inspire someone else to step out of their box.
